Video calls for insurance claims

By the FaceWithMe team · Updated 27 September 2026
Short answer

A video call lets your claims handler see the damage live through the customer’s phone. They can take clear snapshots, point at what they need to see, and often avoid a site visit. The customer only needs to tap a link.

How a claims video call works

  1. The handler sends the customer a link by text or email.
  2. The customer taps it and switches to the back camera.
  3. The handler draws on the video to point at areas to show closer.
  4. The handler takes snapshots and saves them to the claim.
  5. If needed, the call is recorded to the insurer’s own storage.

Why it helps

Why hosting matters for insurers

Claims calls show homes, cars, faces and documents. Many EU insurers want this data processed in the EU by an EU company. FaceWithMe runs in Brussels and sends recordings to your own storage.
